5. Following the papal conclave from afar

Roman Catholic cardinals went into a virtual news blackout Tuesday as they began to elect a new pope, but that has only heightened interest in what's happening behind the closed doors of their conclave.

9. Handling of Paul Bearer's death on WWE Raw both classy and expected

I want to start of by saying the following: If by some miracle I ever become a WWE announcer, one that people somehow develop a care for (for some odd reason) and in some minute way shape or form using me in a storyline after I pass away would generate a desired response or would enhance a feud between two talents leading to a marquee event, then I want everyone to know that this is exactly what I would have wanted to happen.

The trick might be too great even for Duke coach John Danowski to pull off this season.
The trick might be too great even for Duke coach John Danowski to pull off this season. The Blue Devils (3-4) are notorious for being slow starters and rallying at the end of the season to participate in the NCAA tournament, but that might not happen...

19. A personal moment with Paul Bearer

Often, it's frowned upon when you are on the "media" side of a genre to become too friendly with the people you are covering, for obvious reasons. In pro wrestling, the rules are a little different. Many who cover pro wrestling, love pro wrestling, and get along best with those in the industry who share that love.

21. China Airs Coverage of Execution on Live Television

The 44-year old Burmese drug lord Naw Kham and three of his drug lord buddies were convicted of violently murdering 13 Chinese fishermen in October 2011. The incident, since dubbed the “Mekong River Massacre,” occurred when Kham and his henchmen were trying to hijack a ship filled with millions of dollars worth of methamphetamines. Kham’s crew stole the pills and shot or stabbed the fisherman, leaving them for dead. The point is, this Kham guy is a huge asshole. Luckily he was arrested and convicted in late 2012. And last Friday, his execution was televised live on China’s state television network. While they didn’t air the actual lethal injection, cameras followed Kham during his last moments and even broadcast a “chilling” interview with the killer. From the LA Times:
