Jones Beach State Park, spanning six-and-a-half miles of sandy beachfront on the Atlantic Ocean, is one of the most popular recreational areas on Long Island. Comprised of eight beaches, two pools, four basketball courts, two softball fields and a miniature golf course, among other attractions, Jones Beach also hosts a variety of summer concerts.
