Highlights
Renamed Valencia College in 2011. With four campuses and two centers in the Orlando area, Valencia College is now the third largest of Florida's 28 community colleges, teaching more than 59,000 students a year. The school opened as Valencia Junior College in 1967. In 1971, it changed its name to Valencia Community College and moved to its first permanent location, the 180-acre West Campus located on South Kirkman Road.
