1. It's one thing to use a fake ID, but to use a fake ID of a celebrity? Come on!

A man was arrested in Brazil because he tried opening a bank account with a fake ID. How did bank workers know it was a fake ID? The man used a picture of Jack Nicholson. Yes, the famous, award-winning actor.

  15. The Iron Lady

Right before watching a screener of The Iron Lady, I started reading a Newsweek with Meryl Streep on the cover. The three page story was a lot more interesting than the two hour movie. It was also a lot more thorough. I found out in the article that Margaret Thatcher was a chemist in 1950. This sloppy bio-pic never covered that, or much of her pre-Parliament career (she was also a barrister).

  17. Beneath the Darkness

I thought it was clever that the teen comedy Easy A had the kids in class reading The Scarlett Letter – as a real life version of that was happening to the characters. For a short time, this movie seemed to be loosely based on Edgar Allan Poe’s The Telltale Heart. The class was reading that, and there were a few similarities. It’s a shame the movie couldn’t live up to that and all the other scary things we were reminded of watching this. We get Dennis Quaid going all Norman Bates. We think of other movies where characters are buried alive, yet when it’s done here we don’t have the panic or scares those other films brought to the table.

  23. Michael O'Keefe offstage

Actor Michael O’Keefe is between performances as he sits down for a quick bite in his dressing room. He’s just come offstage at the Pasadena Playhouse, where he appears as Serge, a would-be art collector in the three-person play “Art.” In the comedy, O’Keefe’s character happily spends 200,000 Euros, or about $263,000, on a gleaming post-modern abstraction: a canvas painted entirely white.
