WALKER, Mich.—
An ice cream shop in Walker is following the example of three bars in Grand Rapids that paid it forward by donating profits to employees to show appreciation. Scoops, on Remembrance Road, will offer free ice cream to all customers on Oct. 31. They are hoping for donations, and all the money the shop makes will go to staff to show appreciation.
Three bars in Grand Rapids, HopCat, Stella's and McFadden's recently donated three days' worth of money made from the sales of food to their staffs as a thank you.
