My wife and I have been obsessed about watching "The Big Bang Theory." It keeps us laughing and yes, we loathe the hysterical laugh track. By now, though, we don't hear it anymore. It's like the hum of the furnace, or the traffic outside.
The show is getting us through this dismal winter of gray zombie trees and frigid cold. We watch the new shows and the reruns until we have each episode fully memorized and when we do, we'll drop it like a hot rock. That's what we did with Seinfeld, X-Files, Doc Martin and a host of other TV shows.
The reason I bring up the show is because the characters are obsessed with super heroes like The Flash, Batman and Robin, Superman. Ironman and all the others. One of those super heroes found his way into my cartoon today, but not in a good way.
Governor Malloy's budget is reasonable, balanced and fair. Bazinga! Those of you who don't watch The Bang won't understand that little joke. See, whenever Sheldon says a joke, he has to say "Bazinga" so that his friends will know he's joking. There was so much left out of the governor's budget speech, I don't know where to begin, so I won't. Suffice it to say that the Republicans and our intrepid reporters will enlighten us as the days and weeks roll on toward spring.
Pitchers and catchers report next Tuesday. Huzzah!
