  1. Experts: Lack of 'tummy time' causes developmental delays in children

Medical professionals call it a national epidemic: normal children who are delayed in accomplishing basic skills like holding a pencil or catching a ball.  At least one expert calls them "bucket babies."  They're kids who spend too much time in containers like car seats and not enough time on their tummies.  It causes problems in children from infancy through adulthood.

  3. Clearing up confusion on wisdom teeth removal

It seems just about everyone has to have his wisdom teeth extracted. For most, it's an easy procedure and an easy recovery. But many people don't understand why we have those third molars to begin with — or if there are alternatives to removal. We asked Dr. Robert E. Williams, a clinical associate professor at the University of Maryland Dental School who also practices in Baltimore and Bel Air.

  5. Over-the-counter devices probably won't help sleep apnea

Big-time, bed-rattling snoring is more than just a detriment to good sleep or happy relationships. It's also a sign that airways aren't open and clear. In extreme cases, snorers spend chunks of the night gasping for breath, a dangerous condition called sleep apnea. If they could somehow open up their airways, they would breathe easier without all of the racket and without the risk.

  17. Why the New York Jets can win in Pittsburgh

    1. Just because the Pittsburgh Steelers have home field in Sunday’s AFC Championship Game game against the New York Jets doesn't mean they have an advantage. For starters, the Jets went into Pittsburgh and won 22-17 on Dec. 19 in a game that went down to the last play. Secondly, road teams are 5-3 in these upside-down playoffs, and the Packers — seeded sixth, like the Jets — have a great shot to win at Chicago for the NFC title as well.
