Donald Ramon Harsh Sr., 87, of Williamsport, Md., passed away Sunday, Dec. 30, 2012 at Ravenwood Nursing Home, Hagerstown, Md.
Born June 19, 1925, in Fort Wayne, Ind., he was the son of the late Frank Kreigh Harsh Jr. and Esther Margaret Stewart Harsh Newcomer.
He attended Clemson University.
He was employed by the U.S. Postal Service as a mail carrier for 32 years, until retiring in 1980.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army Air Corps, serving during World War II.
He was a member of Potomac Post 202 American Legion, Williamsport, and 92nd USAAF Memorial Association. He was a past member of the Williamsport Lions Club, and a life member of Williamsport Ambulance Service.
He was a longtime hunter and fisherman and belonged to the Williamsport Hunt Club, and HDH and RJD hunt clubs.
Survivors include son, Donald R. Harsh Jr., and his wife, Alva, of Williamsport; grandson, Donald R. "Boomer" Harsh III and his wife, Megan, of Hagerstown; and friend and companion, Nancy Giffin of Hagerstown.
Burial will be at the convenience of the family, in Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington, Va.
