11. Addicted to podcast, and not just for the sex

I'm not in the target audience for the “Savage Love” podcast, Dan Savage's weekly offering of audio advice. I'm neither “stuck in relationship quandary,” to quote the theme song, nor am I “looking for sexual harmony.”

  15. Dan Savage on helping gay kids and his MTV show, 'Savage U'

You're probably familiar with Dan Savage because you— or, OK, "a friend"— has taken advice from his humorous, nationally syndicated sex advice column, "Savage Love." Or perhaps you know Savage from his work as the co-founder of It Gets Better, a video-based project formed in 2009 in response to the suicides of teens who'd been victims of sexual identity-themed bullying.

  17. Savage Love: Sensitive Subjects

I'm gay and a junior in high school, and I've had a boyfriend for a year. (He's one year older than me, Dan, so relax!) We are out to our parents and everyone is supportive. We are not bullied or suicidal or using drugs. But we are frustrated! We had sex education in our schools, but they didn't cover gay sex. (Big surprise!) I tried to talk to my mom about gay sex, and all she said was "please use condoms." We tried and we used condoms, but I think we must be doing something wrong because we can't do it. We are ready to start having real gay sex — with me on the bottom, at least for now! — and we are frustrated and feel like failures as gay men. Any advice?

  21. Savage Love: Erotic Secrets

My husband is a very kinky submissive man. When we were dating, I found out that he had been talking to multiple people online and that he had met up with a professional dom a couple of times. I felt betrayed that he had done this all behind my back, even though I had told him that I would be down with him seeing a dom. (I even offered to buy him a session for his birthday!)

  23. Savage Love: Santorum Mess

I am writing to thank you. I remember reading your definition of "santorum" — "the frothy mix of lube and fecal matter that is sometimes the byproduct of anal sex" — when it first appeared. I remember thinking it was a cute way to make fun of a dickhead politician. I never thought it would go this far. But after Iowa, Rick Santorum is in the spotlight again. And so is that frothy mixture. And that's fucking awesome.
