A man in his early 20s was reported stabbed around 3:20 a.m. Sunday in the north alley of the 700 block of State Street.
“He was stabbed on the neck two times,” said El Centro police Sgt. Damian Valdez.
The victim, a white male, was flown to University of California San Diego Medical Center for treatment.
The suspects are three Hispanic male adults, one with facial hair, according to El Centro police logs. One was last seen wearing dark jeans and a dark hooded sweatshirt. The other was last seen wearing a light-gray hooded sweatshirt.
The incident began with a disturbance near the entrance or exit of the Owl Café, according to the logs.
Misunderstanding in Holtville
A clerk at the 7-Eleven on Fifth Street in Holtville reported that a male and a female left the store with a bag of cookies and a banana shortly before 2 a.m. Sunday.
Subjects returned to the store and paid for the items while authorities looked for them, according to Imperial County sheriff’s logs.
