THURSDAY
— The Jessamine County Public Library will host Game On! from 4:30-6:30 p.m.
— The Jessamine County Public Library will host APPAL Seeds-Heirloom Tomatoes from 7-8 p.m.
— The Wilmore Senior Center will host a current events forum on the state of the U.S. economy at 1:15 p.m.
— The Jessamine County Chamber of Commerce will sponsor a BizConnect at Quality Construction, located on Means Drive behind Kohl’s, from 5:30-7:30 p.m. The cost is $5 for chamber members and $10 for nonmembers.
FRIDAY
— The Jessamine County Public Library will host “Jump and Jive” at 10:30 a.m.
— The Jessamine County Public Library will host “Silver Screen: The Philadelphia Story” from 12:30-2:30 p.m.
— The Jessamine County Public Library will host Young at Heart Big Band at 1:15 p.m.
SATURDAY
— A free meal is provided by Manna Ministries each Saturday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. The meal is a restaurant-quality meal served at 303 W. Maple St. in the community center of Nicholasville United Methodist Church. The meal is open to the public for anyone in need. Takeout meals are available after 12:30 p.m. Volunteers are always welcome and can contact the office at 859-885-4481.
— Wilmore Free Methodist Church will host “The Truth Project,” a 12-week Bible study for high-school age through adults on Saturdays beginning Feb. 2 from 8-9:30 a.m. The study will help answer worldview questions and bring meaning and understanding to Christians. — The Jessamine County Public Library will host a wood carver’s guild open meeting from 10 a.m. to noon.
— The Jessamine County Public Library will host HG Library - automotive maintenance and repair essentials from 2-3:30 p.m.
— The Jessamine County Chamber of Commerce will sponsor a legislative breakfast with state Rep. Bob Damron and state Sen. Tom Buford from 9-10 a.m. at J.D. Legends. The cost is $12 per person.
SUNDAY
— Saint Athanasius Orthodox Church, located at 926 S. Main St., offers free bread to families and individuals in need in the Nicholasville area. Saint Athanasius distributes this bread, supplied by Panera Bread, every Sunday from 1-2 p.m. on the porch of the South Main Street location.
— An appreciation reception will be held in honor of Dr. Phyllis Corbitt on Sunday, March 10, from 2-4 p.m. at Fitch’s IGA in Wilmore. Dr. Corbitt is closing her medical practice in Wilmore after nearly 45 years of service to the community. This event is open to everyone and is a time to thank this remarkable person and doctor. No gifts please but cards and notes are welcomed.
— The Jessamine County Public Library will host an indoor drive-in move at 2 p.m. This week’s movie is “The Odd Life of Timothy Green.”
