LA HABRA -- Octomom Nadya Suleman is the nation's least desirable neighbor, according to a poll conducted by real estate shopping Web site Zillow.com.
Suleman jumped into the spotlight in January, 2009, when she gave birth to octuplets at a Bellflower Hospital with the help of in-vitro fertilization (IVF). The Suleman octuplets are only the second full set of octuplets to be born alive in the United States.
The birth of the octuplets soon turned controversial when the public learned Suleman was a single mother who already had six small children and was living with her parents in a three-bedroom home. It was later learned that she was unemployed and on public assistance at the time of the infants' birth.
Suleman, who moved to her own home in La Habra, was featured along with her 14 children in a reality TV show in the United Kingdom and also appeared in a two-hour special entitled, "Octo-Mom: The Incredible Unseen Footage", which aired on August 19th.
Zillow.com polled about 2,300 adult Americans, who voted Suleman as the worst neighbor over Jon and Kate Gosselin and Richard and Mayumi Heene, the parents of the child involved in the infamous "balloon boy" stunt.
