Key FSU pitcher Mike Compton to miss 2013 season for Tommy John surgery

TALLAHASSEE -- If Florida State is to make a return trip to the College World Series, it will have to do so without the services of sophomore pitcher Mike Compton. The program announced Thursday the right-hander will undergo season-ending Tommy John surgery in order to fix a damaged ligament in his right elbow.
