  1. Paterson Appoints Statesmen to Mediate NYS Senate Power-Struggle

    Gov. David Paterson has appointed two statesmen to mediate the power-struggle that has lead to the deadlock in the New York State Senate.  Paterson announced Saturday, that former Lieutenant Gov. Stan Lundine and former State Sen. John Dunne will act as mediators in the ongoing dispute.  In addition, Chief Judge Jonathan Lippmann will preside over a special session Wednesday, if mediation does not resolve their differences.
