  1. E3 2012 Booth Spotlight: Telltale Games

Telltale Games has a lot on their plate right now, with games like the upcoming relaunch of King's Quest, the game adaptation of DC Comics' Fables and of course, the breakout hit The Walking Dead. It was not all lollipops and rainbows though, as Telltale Games was in a bit of a funk with their last few releases. Jurassic Park was an abject failure and Back To The Future, while hitting on all the right notes, was a bit too easy for the gaming masses. The Walking Dead was a great chance for the company to revitalize
their fortunes and boy did it.

  3. E3 2012 Booth Spotlight: D3 Publisher

Family friendly fare is not something that is easily found on the show floor at E3. I mean, this is a show where huge titles like Halo 4 and The Last of Us make all the noise, but one vendor that was purely focused on more kid friendly offerings was D3Publisher. They ran the gamut between popular movie franchises and big TV franchises, but if you were looking for something that would be suitable for a younger child this was the booth to visit.

  13. The Big Three of E3: Nintendo, Sony and Microsoft

With new hardware and kept promises, the big three game companies - Nintendo, Sony and Microsoft - turned this year's Electronic Entertainment Expo into proof that companies must evolve to survive. Sony revealed a softer side with an onstage apology for the recent service outage, plus they gave their upcoming handheld an aggressive price point. Microsoft verified the worst kept secret in gaming, "Halo 4," and found new ways to leverage the motion-happy Kinect in a wide variety of games. And current champ Nintendo, still riding high on sales of the Wii and the DS, introduced the Wii U -- a high-def sequel that combines the trademark Nintendo charm with a tablet touchscreen in the controller.
