A deputy stopped Michael Rexford, 19, at 5:30 a.m. after he allegedly ran a stop sign while driving a Saturn with a torn tire, which had been slapping his wheel well, reports Will Greenlee in his Off the Beat blog for TCPalm.com in Stuart.
The Palm City teen told the deputy that as he was trying to get home from either Stuart or Jensen — he wasn't sure which city — he felt the Saturn get "woogity", but, no worries, because his dad was an "Autobot" who could fix the car, according to the arrest affidavit.
Rexford, who is under the legal age to drink, admitted to the deputy that he had been drinking "a little." However, a BAL test showed he was more than two times over the legal limit.
Sounds like Autobot's dad needs to transform him into an adult.
