    <strong>Monday, April 9 is the statewide voter registration deadline.</strong> If you are new to Indianapolis or have recently moved or changed your name, you need to update your registration records by the deadline. Plus, <span style="text-decoration: underline;">17-year-olds who will be 18 on or before November 6, 2012 can register and vote in the May primary election.</span> State law requires us to print a special ballot for underage voters, who are permitted to nominate candidates in their primary but cannot vote in races decided in May like precinct committeeperson or state convention delegate.
