  1. Glamorama theme hops across the pond

    Against a backdrop of stunning visuals, British pop music and fall fashions, Macy's presented Glamorama at the Harris Theater on Aug. 10. Themed "The British Invasion: The Music Then. The Fashion Now," the night included a fashion show with 43 models and more than 150 outfits. It featured music by the Beatles and the Rolling Stones, and collections from Tommy Hilfiger, Jean Paul Gaultier, Material Girl, Bar III, Sean John, Rachel Roy and Donna Karan. Giant fur hats were worn by the Marc Jacobs' models; the Diesel segment showcased male models sporting underwear and wearing iconic British headgear such as Beefeater hats.

    Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) of Wichita helped make the lives of children in the Wichita area a little better on August 30. They donated over $62,000 in grants to Kansas non-profits that are dedicated to improving the lives of children. All the funds that were donated come from both fundraising efforts of local McDonald's restaurants and matching grant funds from Ronald McDonald House Charities corporate office.
