IOWA CITY, Iowa -- Home-court advantage? This one could have been played in Iowa coach Lisa Bluder's driveway and it wouldn't have turned out any differently. Notre Dame was that much better Tuesday night. Irish women's basketball coach Muffet McGraw...

11. For What it's Worth--Tax Day

Is there such a thing as a "Happy Tax Day"?
Is there such a thing as a "Happy Tax Day"? Down under Master--- Adam Scott, belly putter and all, wins the Master’s in a playoff against Angel Cabrera who, I swear, only plays well in majors. Tiger Woods finishes fourth, four shots off the lead...

13. True underdogs mix with pedigreed types in wide-open NCAA tournament

My dream of a West Regional foursome of Wichita State, La Salle, Harvard and Iowa State came only half true. Los Angeles fell two underdogs short from hitting for the Cinderella cycle. The disappointment abated when, in Philadelphia, the hallucination...

For What it’s Worth---March 5 -- If Denver’s Rahim Moore doesn’t miss-time his jump in the final 0:30 seconds of regulation in their playoff with the Raven’s Joe Flacco is just another quarterback cashing a good check. Instead, Jacoby Jones reels in a 71 yard prayer, the Ravens force overtime and Flacco goes on to have one of the greatest post-seasons in NFL history. Timing is everything.
