  6. Shockers pound Bradley 18-8, sweep series

    Wichita State had six players with a least two hits as the Shockers collected a season high in hits (18) and runs (18) and swept the series against the Bradley Braves with a 18-8 run-rule win on Sunday afternoon. Erik Harbutz and Micah Green led the offensive slugfest for the Shockers. Harbutz went 3-for-5 with a career high six RBI and three doubles and Green was 4-for-6 with four RBI.

    A three run ninth inning rally tied the game at 6-6 to force extra innings and Garrett Bayliff&rsquo;s RBI double started a four run tenth inning as Wichita State stole game two from the Braves, 10-6. Tyler Baker led the offensive attach for the Shockers going 3-for-4 with two RBI. Brandon Peterson earned the win, pitching the ninth and tenth inning, striking out three and allowing one hit.
