1. Good start, bad finish to Colts pre-season opener

The Colts defense got off to a good start in its pre-season opener against the 49ers at Lucas OIl Stadium. On the first play from scrimmage, Antoine Bethea forced a fumble which was recovered by Robert Mathis. The statement making play by the Pro Bowlers put the offense in great position to take an early lead.

3. Cliff Notes For The Colts: Week 10

One the best moves that teams try to make before a critical regular season matchup is to downplay the importance of the game itself.

5. Colts - Jets Notebook: No Longer Pursuing Perfection

Bullitt in a Baseball Cap: While the Colts inactive list included a few key members of the very stingy defense (Robert Mathis, Clint Session, Jerraud Powers, and Keyunta Dawson) there was another starter dressed, but not seeing any playing time. Third-year safety Melvin Bullitt has been dealing with a sore shoulder for much of the season. There have been quite a few times we've seen him grimace after making a key tackle (including the tackle of the season on 4th & 2 against the Patriots).

The essence of the position, in many ways, in invisibility. In fact, it might be the most desirable condition for the spot on the roster.

The essence of the position, in many ways, in invisibility. In fact, it might be the most desirable condition for the spot on the roster. Only in times of great success or failure does the kicker take the center stage. The rest of the time, its good...

9. Game 17: Attack falls flat in loss

Sun Reporter
Nearly 23 years after they left Baltimore, the Colts didn't crush the hearts of this city's football fans yesterday. The Ravens' offense and Steve McNair did. In one of the worst games of the season by the resurgent attack and their veteran quarterback,...

11. Where are they now? -- Brian Kinchen

Sun reporter
Four years later, Brian Kinchen still wonders: Was he dreaming, or did the New England Patriots really coax a washed-up player out of retirement to help them win the February 2004 Super Bowl? The answer sits in a small cherry wood case on the desk in his...

13. Colts' character passes big test

The Colts scored 18 points in the last 17 minutes 45 seconds of the game to stun the Vikings, who fell to 0-2. Colts coach Tony Dungy was delighted to see the Colts' trademark character come out in the hostile Metrodome after a first game that would have...

15. NFL Sidelines - Week 2

EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. - Even without Tom Brady, the New England Patriots find themselves in a familiar position -- undefeated and atop the AFC East standings. Backup Matt Cassel did just enough in his first start to lead the Patriots to a 19-10 win over...

17. Dungy doesn't make same mistakes against Chargers

INDIANAPOLIS (AP) - Tony Dungy refused to make the same mistake twice in San Diego. A year after acknowledging he mismanaged the final two minutes against the Chargers, he masterfully controlled late stages of a 23-20 win at San Diego last night. A...

19. Pickoff to playoffs!

JACKSONVILLE--Give Peyton Manning and the offense credit for the comeback. Give the defense credit for the playoffs. Keiwan Ratliff's interception return for touchdown, along with two critical sacks in the final minutes helped the Colts to a 31-24 win...
