Ed Reed had plenty of Christmas spirit this year, judging by a video of him singing “Silent Night” that was posted this month. The clip was reportedly made Dec. 2, during a karaoke party just hours after the Ravens were defeated by the...

5. Ravens beat Denver Broncos, 38-35, in AFC divisional playoff

When the best game that almost every Ravens' player had ever been a part of was finally over, Joe Flacco threw his hands in the air, Justin Tucker emphatically pumped his fist and Ray Lewis dropped to his knees, reduced to tears.

7. Could Ravens turn to Bryant McKinnie against the Giants?

It looks like Ravens coach John Harbaugh might be forced to start or at least use left offensive tackle Bryant McKinnie.

9. Jim Caldwell will have to prove quite a bit in just a few games

If I'm feeling sorry for anyone on the Ravens right now, it's Jim Caldwell.
If I'm feeling sorry for anyone on the Ravens right now, it's Jim Caldwell. Going into today's game against the New York Giants, the new Ravens offensive coordinator finds himself in a no-win situation. He's basically auditioning for the offensive...

11. Ravens offensive line working to improve as a unit

The walks back to the huddle have been shorter for Ray Rice over the past month and a half.
The walks back to the huddle have been shorter for Ray Rice over the past month and a half. With opponents crowding the line of scrimmage to keep him under wraps, the Ravens running back hasn't gotten far on many of his recent carries, leaving his...

13. Jason Babin makes some sense but Ravens will have to wait it out

Jason Babin can still get after the quarterback. That, more than anything, is why after the veteran defensive end was surprisingly released by the Philadelphia Eagles yesterday, the Ravens were immediately mentioned as a potential fit.

15. Will the Ravens change up their struggling offensive line?

It will be interesting to see this week if the Ravens make any changes along the offensive line, a group that for the most part has struggled the past couple of weeks and will be under fire again come Sunday against the Pittsburgh Steelers. The position to watch, mainly because it’s been unsettled all season, would be left guard. The Ravens have now given three different players a trial run with Ramon Harewood getting five starts, Bobbie Williams getting four and Jah Reid starting the past two games. While coaches have praised Reid, I’m not sure that he’s stood out in a positive way any more than Harewood and Williams did. Like the other two, there has been some good and some bad. Reid was a third-round pick last year so the Ravens probably have the most invested in him, but head coach John Harbaugh has been clear all season that he’s going to play his five best guys. It will be interesting to see if the coaches deem Reid one of those five for a third straight week. The Ravens could insert Harewood or Williams back in or they could plug in Bryant McKinnie at left tackle, move Michael Oher to right tackle and then shift Kelechi Osemele to left guard. That would be a pretty drastic transformation for a 9-2 team, especially when there have been no indications that McKinnie is forcing their hands with his play in practice.

The Baltimore Sun
