5. Jim Harbaugh knows no bounds

NEW ORLEANS — The world's next great football coach has been on a roll this week, speaking of incorporating an enthusiasm unknown to mankind, building a beaver dam, lacking a "tweeter," living a childhood that was the opposite of the song Cat's in the Cradle and planning his 5-month-old son's future as a football star.

  11. Some random thoughts as the Ravens near touch down in New Orleans

The Ravens are scheduled to land here this afternoon. By watching the footage of the San Francisco 49ers’ arrival last night and then by attending their news conferences, I was a little surprised how nonchalant and business-like they were. It fits coach Jim Harbaugh’s desire to treat this like a normal work week. I don’t see that as a good or bad thing, mind you. I was just a little surprised that you didn’t see players walking off the plane in fancy suits with video cameras pressed to their faces. Judging by the pictures the Ravens’ players have already posted on their Twitter feeds, I think you’ll see them revel in the moment a little more.

  15. Ravens QB Joe Flacco has made an impression on 49ers

The San Francisco 49ers arrived in New Orleans last night, and if their first media availability of the week was any indication, the Ravens shouldn’t expect any bulletin-board material leading up to Sunday’s Super Bowl XLVII.
