  3. Game 2: Too close for Ravens' comfort

If the Ravens are going to make a championship run, they first have to learn how not to trip over themselves.

If the Ravens are going to make a championship run, they first have to learn how not to trip over themselves. A week after the offense gave the season opener away with turnovers, the Ravens defense needed a late Ray Lewis interception in the end zone...

  5. Game 3: Boller, Stover rise to occasion

Failing to hold a big lead in the fourth quarter shouldn't come as a surprise anymore.
    Sun reporter
Failing to hold a big lead in the fourth quarter shouldn't come as a surprise anymore. Yet after Matt Stover kicked a game-winning, 46-yard field goal as time expired yesterday, there was a level of amazement as the Ravens celebrated a 26-23 victory over...

  7. Game 4: Incomplete effort costs Ravens

Jamal Lewis isn't the only one who knows the Ravens' weakness now.
    Sun reporter
Jamal Lewis isn't the only one who knows the Ravens' weakness now. A less-than-sellout crowd at Cleveland Browns Stadium witnessed the Ravens expose their greatest flaw of the season -- no sense of urgency. After weeks of downplaying a sloppy season...

  9. Game 5: Hobbled Ravens hold the line

It was a painful reunion yesterday with Trent Dilfer, but it had nothing to do with the Super Bowl-winning quarterback's one-time grudge against the Ravens.

It was a painful reunion yesterday with Trent Dilfer, but it had nothing to do with the Super Bowl-winning quarterback's one-time grudge against the Ravens. Entering the game without four starters and then losing two offensive linemen in one series,...

  11. Game 6: Ravens 'D' pounds home its point vs. Rams

    Sun reporter
The Ravens were without their starting quarterback. They were without their best tight end. And they were without a majority of their starting offensive line. But yesterday against the hapless St. Louis Rams, the Ravens proved they still had something...

  13. Game 7: Ravens can't run from errors

If the penalties, misplayed returns and overall lack of focus didn't get the players' attention, Ravens coach Brian Billick certainly did after the game, yelling more loudly than most can ever remember in the locker room.

  15. Game 8: Pittsburgh gets payback on Ravens

In a season in which the Ravens have taken several shots to their pride, they might have received the knockout blow last night.

In a season in which the Ravens have taken several shots to their pride, they might have received the knockout blow last night. Fumbling and bumbling their way before a national television audience, the Ravens embarrassed themselves in a 38-7 loss to the...

  17. Game 9: Ravens going nowhere fast

In many ways, the Ravens' troubling 21-7 loss to the Cincinnati Bengals yesterday was a replay of everything that has gone wrong this season, from poor quarterback play to fumbles to ineptness in the red zone.

    Sun reporter
A week ago, Ravens coach Brian Billick said he wanted his players to hold on to their faint playoff hopes. Now, the only goal should be fixing a flawed offense. Held to 210 yards by the NFL's 25th-ranked defense, the Ravens (4-7) sputtered to a 32-14...

  21. Game 1: A step back, a step forward

    Sun Reporter
If this is the Ravens' path back to respectability, they don't need a road map. Reverting to their trusted formula - dominating defense and ball-control offense - the Ravens began the season with an authoritative 27-0 rout of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers...

  23. Game 2: Defense carries the ball in win

    Sun Reporter
The Ravens' shutout streak ended late in the second quarter. Their early-season defensive dominance did not. With little help from their offense and little resistance from the Oakland Raiders, the Ravens left the Silver and Black looking black and...
