  1. Five things I will remember from Wednesday's Via All-Star banquet

    Groller's Corner
It was a long night at the Sands, stretching until about 9:40 by the time it was over, but I am sure it was a memorable night for the high school players, coaches, parents and other adults who were among the 610 there last night for the Via All-Star...

  3. LeBron Was Just Too Much For The Celtics

    — With Kevin Garnett out sick, Jeff Green was making the Miami Heat sick. Green drove it down the Heat's throats for 43 points. The Celtics not only went on a 17-0 run in the first half, they led by as many as 17. With the TD Garden reaching near deafening heights, the Celtics led by as many as 13 with only 8:27 remaining.

  5. Cheer or jeer? LeBron re-visits Cleveland

Sunday notes: With LeBron James offering an olive branch and holding a 2014 opt-out, what will Wednesday in Cleveland deliver? Also: Wes Welker as Ray Allen?; Celtics on Heat; more.
Over the past week, we've seen Dwight Howard booed in Orlando, Carmelo Anthony jeered in Denver, Raymond Felton derided in Portland.    All as expected. In the NBA, you can't go home again.    LeBron James, of course, knows that as well as anyone,...

  17. Garden City girls earn first WAC title in program history against Hays

The Garden City girls basketball team has never won a Western Athletic Conference title. Friday night that changed. The Lady Buffs clinched their first WAC championship with their win against Hays 47-43 and maintained their flawless 7-0 WAC record. It certainly wasn't an easy win. The Lady Buffs head coach David Upton said at halftime he was concerned he would have to put the WAC champions shirts back in the closet.
