In addition to being the feature speaker at the Chamber's 2012 Annual Banquet February 9, Frank Abagnale will also conduct a Fraud/Identity Theft seminar. The seminar, entitled 'The Art of the Steal," is sponsored by United Capital Management, and will be presented from 2-4 p.m. that afternoon at Sams Chapel at Kansas Wesleyan University.

Mr. Abagnale is one of the world's most respected authorities on the subject of forgery, embezzlement and secure documents. For over 30 years, he has lectured to, and consulted with, hundreds of financial institutions, corporations and government agencies around the world. His life story was the subject of a major motion picture entitled "Catch Me If You Can," directed by Steven Spielberg,starring Leonardo DeCaprio and Tom Hanks. The movie will be shown at the Stiefel Theatre for the Performing Arts February 2, 7 p.m.

"Identity theft, forgery and embezzlement are major issues faced by businesses and individuals inour society," stated Todd Davidson, Chairman of the Chamber. "Mr. Abagnale has a unique set of personal experiences on these issues, from both sides of the fence. His specialized knowledge of these subjects will be enormously valuable to anyone attending the semiar and banquet, and his story-telling will captivate them."

Tickets for Chamber members are $50 per person for the banquet, $10 per person for the seminar, or $55 per person for the banquet and seminar. Tickets for non-members are $75 per person for the banquet, $20 for the seminar, and $85 per person for the banquet and seminar.
