Court residents enjoyed Pam James with Memory Lane as she reminisced about “Sitting at Mama Neal’s chrome kitchen table eating snacks she made” Nov. 22. Many of our best memories revolve around food and just talking about all the special holiday treats brings back memories.
Andrea Davenport and her mother performed in assisted living Nov. 5. Andrea is a musician from the Kansas City Area. She and her mother travel around playing at a variety of different venues. She plays guitar, mandolin, piano and sings. Her mother plays violin and sings.
Court residents went on an outing to the Cup ‘n Saucer Nov. 8. They enjoyed a great selection of teas, coffee, sandwiches, soup and pie. We had so many residents that we had to take the bus and our new van. The weather couldn’t have been better and everyone said they had a great time.
Captain Stuart V. Bevis CFI, CFEI is the K-9 handler of “Sporty” for the Fire Investigation Unit of the Wichita Fire Department. He is the son of our assisted living resident Barbara Bevis. He did a demonstration of what the dogs in the program are trained to do and brought “Sporty” to demonstrate on Nov. 17.
