15. Sample local beltane cheese at The Boathouse at Saugatuck in Westport

If you fancy yourself a cheese connoisseur but feel true artisanal cheeses can only be made in the rolling pastures of the French countryside or in the foothills of the Swiss Alps, think again. This week The Boathouse of Westport is inviting guests to indulge in award-winning artisanal cheese made from farmstead goat milk by farmer Paul Trubey of Beltane Farm in Lebanon, Connecticut. Featuring Danse de la Lune, Dutch Farmstead, and Grace, these three rich and flavorful cheeses are the perfect reflection of the Trubey's love for sustainable farming and the "Farm to Table" cuisine the Boathouse is known for.
