    Lila G. (Peterson) Koontz, 71, Jenners, died Aug. 17, 2011, at In-Touch Hospice House, Somerset. Born May 19, 1940, in Conemaugh Township, daughter of Oliver L. and Mary M. (Stayrook) Peterson. Preceded in death by parents; husband Jack E. Koontz; brothers: Paul J., Alfred F. and David G. Peterson; and sisters, Iona F. Keim and Ruth I. Griffiths. Survived by sons: Gary E., married to former Tracey Shaulis, Jenners, David D., married to former Kristi Dorethy, Boerne, Texas, and Roger J., married to former Cathy Tasson, Boswell; grandsons: Zachary, Quincey, Corey and Cody Koontz; sisters, Shirley M. Thomas, Boswell, and Arbutus A. Thomas, Exeter, N.H.; sister-in-law Dorothy (Yost) Peterson, Hollsopple; brothers-in-law, James Koontz and wife Vada, Louisiana, and Don Koontz and wife Judy, Maryland; Aunt Ruth Hemminger, Richland; and numerous nieces and nephews. A 1960 graduate of Conemaugh Township Area High School. Retired employee of former Ramada Inn, Somerset, with 24 years of service. A member of Silver Sneakers. She also attended Boswell Senior Center and We Care Breast Cancer Survivors, Somerset. Lila loved to garden and spend time with family and friends. Viewing from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Hoffman Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 409 Main St., Boswell, where a service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday with the Rev. Dr. Cookie Tressler presiding. Interment Maple Spring Cemetery. Donations in Lila’s memory may be sent to In-Touch Hospice House, P.O. Box 1173, Somerset, PA 15501.
