  19. Ramp Closure from Northbound I-81 on George Wade Memorial Bridge to Front Street to Continue until Christmas

    The ramps from northbound Interstate 81 on the George N. Wade Memorial Bridge to northbound and southbound Front Street will remain closed until just before Christmas. The contractor is taking advantage of favorable weather conditions to continue concrete repairs to the substructure of the ramps and also to continue the paint operation (which involves sand blasting the existing paint and applying new primer) for the steel portions of the bridge. If weather conditions worsen in December and the contractor can no longer proceed with the concrete repairs, the operation will stop and the ramps will reopen earlier.
