         The Pennsylvania Lottery reports that it sold a record five tickets worth $250,000 each in last Friday's March 30 Mega Millions drawing.  One of the five tickets was sold at the Rutter's convenience store on the 2100 block of Susquehanna Trail, in York County.

  3. What are the healthiest counties? 3 in Central PA are in the top 10

    The third annual <a title="County Health Rankings wesbite" href="http://www.countyhealthrankings.org/#app/pennsylvania/2012/rankings/outcomes/overall" target="_blank">County Health Rankings</a> were released today. The Rankings are an annual check-up that measure how healthy people are and how long they live in nearly every county in every state, including Pennsylvania. Central Pennsylvania has three counties in the top ten and six in the top 17 in the state. Juniata County is third overall, Cumberland County is 8th and Lancaster County is 9th. Outside the top ten, Lebanon County is 15th, York County is 16th, and Adams is 17th.

  11. York County Administrative Center re-opens

    The York County Administrative Center has returned to normal operations following an evacuation earlier today. The Administrative Center at approximately 10:30 a.m. was evacuated and closed to the public after a suspicious item was found to the rear of the building. The Administrative Center is located at 28 E. Market St. in York City. The building reopened at approximately 1:15 p.m. after the suspicious item was determined not to be a safety threat by Pennsylvania State Police. No other county facilities were impacted by the temporary closure.

  19. Police Identify York County Bank Robbery Suspect

    Police in York County have identified the suspect in bank robbery. It happened Monday just before 4 o'clock at the Susquehanna Bank branch in the 2500 block of Eastern Boulevard in Springettsbury Township. A white female about 5 feet 6 inches tall, 130 pounds, between 20 and 30 years old, wearing a dark colored hoodie, tan pants and a baseball cat, walked into the bank and demanded money from a teller. She was last seen driving away in a maroon Dodge Caravan with PA registration HSM-4213.
