You've probably seen it sitting in one of your favorite bar/restaurants over the years, but did you know the popular arcade video game Big Buck Hunter is made in Chicagoland?
We stopped by Play Mechanix in Glen Ellyn today to get the grand tour. President George Petro introduced us to the designers and programmers who create the hunting simulator from start to finish. The team was working on updates for the brand new version of the game, Big Buck Hunter HD. It features new graphics in 1080p resolution, with gamers playing on high definition monitors.
If you haven't played Big Buck, it's basically a shooting game that challenges players to take down as many bucks as possible, while avoiding all of the other forest creatures. Over the years, the game has evolved to include African safaris and other out-of-this-world bonus rounds.
My feature on Play Mechanix will be posted here after it airs. For now, you can check out the Big Buck Hunter website here. Here is a list of locations that are featuring the new Big Buck Hunter HD....
