Claris Elaine Mitchell, 77, widow of Thomas R. Mitchell, passed away at 5:20 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 15, 2012, at her home.
A native of Exie, she was the daughter of the late Selby Taylor and Iva Mae Landis Lile. Elaine was a retired attendance clerk for Clark Middle School and a member of the Bellpoint Baptist Church in Frankfort.
Survivors include her daughter, Vickie (Steve) Means; two sons, Richard Scott (Shawna) Mitchell and Thomas Richard (Michelle) Mitchell Jr.; six grandchildren, Kelsey Elizabeth Mitchell, Zachary Taylor Means, Kolbi Taylor Mitchell, Thomas Richard “Trace” Mitchell III, Anna Elaine “Lainie” Mitchell and Richard Scott “Scotty” Mitchell Jr.; three bonus grandchildren, Jared Meade, Morgan Woosley and Holly Norris; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband and parents, Elaine was preceded in death by her brother, Carl Taylor Lile.
Services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Monday, Nov. 19, at Scobee Funeral Home by the Rev. Don Burkhead.
Burial will follow in the Clarmont Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers will be Mark and Mike Lile, Truett Cohorn, Ronnie Cohorn Jr. and Mike, Lyle and Trent Travis.
Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday.
