The Miss Clark County Teen Pageant will begin at 8 p.m. Monday at the county fairgrounds.
Caroline Browning, the 2010 winner, will crown the new winner in the 14-15-year-old category.
The contestants will be judged on interview, casual wear and on-stage question. Practice began July 23 and concluded July 28.
Pageant director Misty Howard said the number of contestants is slightly lower than usual, but she and pageant coordinators have had fun interacting with the smaller group.
“We’ve gotten to know each other a little bit better, and gotten to spend more time together. It’s made it a little more personal and a little more fun,” Howard said.
The participants also are just as enthusiastic as ever, she said.
“We’re lower in numbers, but I wouldn’t say lower in excitement. They’re still just as excited as ever,” Howard said.
