The Centers for Disease confirmed Tuesday that 12 Hoosiers have been infected. A total of 119 people across the country have contracted meningitis after being injected with a preservative free steroid used to treat pain and inflammation.  So far, 11 people have died as a result.

The number of meningitis cases could reach up to 13,000 patients.
