(WSBT) The city of Nappanee has come up with a light-hearted fundraiser. They’re selling T-shirts that are turning up all over the city.

The front of the shirt shows a twister with an RV, Amish buggy, a roof and some fast food swirling around in it. The back of the shirt says “We ‘ALL’ Survived, October 18, 2007.”

Capt. Dana Hollar of the Nappanee Police Department came up with the idea.

"The shirts represent the tragedy that we had here in Nappanee, and so what we are trying to do is, we are trying to raise money for the homeowners that lost basically everything they had,” Hollar explained.

The shirts are available at the library, city hall and the police station in Nappanee. They sell for $10, with all proceeds going to the Nappanee Tornado Disaster Relief Fund.

Next week, sweatshirts will be sold for $25.
