Water line breaks on Court Street in Winchester

Water shots out of a crack in a 6-inch water line early Monday morning while a crew from Winchester Municipal Utilities uncovers the leak on Court Street. Casey Ray uses his boot to hold a repair sleeve in place while Epperson tightens bolts to repair the leak, right photo. Water flowing onto the street in front of Winchester City Hall and behind the Clark County Courthouse soon became slick as the spilled water froze. A crew from Winchester Public Works spread salt to melt the ice.
