WSBT is again teaming up with the Rotary Club of South Bend for a donation drive-thru from 2:00 p.m – 6:30 p.m. today at the WSBT Stations, 1301 East Douglas Road, Mishawaka.
Walk-up donations will be taken throughout the day. We will pack and ship donations to those serving in the Armed Forces.
You can also include a personal note of thanks.
Suggested Items:
- Non-perishable healthy snacks (trail mix, nuts, beef sticks, energy bars, etc).
- Personal hygiene products (like baby wipes---often the only "shower" a soldier deployed on recon gets)
- Hand/feet warmers that slip into boots/gloves
- Shaving cream/razors. NOTE: Aerosol cans CANNOT be shipped, so tubes of shaving cream are best.
- Cards, individual electronic, hand held games, Sudoku, crossword, word search books

What cannot be sent: Pork products, alcohol, liquid hand sanitizer, or aerosol cans (they may explode). Do not send products in glass containers. Package all food items that may leak in zip-lock bags. All items should fit into pre-paid postal mail boxes –medium size
