  • Mich. man walking dog finds abandoned newborn along road

    A man walking a dog along a western Michigan dirt road Monday found a newborn with her umbilical cord still attached. Jeff Kopp said he thought the dog was sniffing a rabbit about 10:30 a.m. Monday in White Cloud, about 40 north of Grand Rapids.

    It was a big day of fun Monday learning about the weather. Day one of the WSBT Weather Camp brought a couple of dozen kids to our studios. They got the chance to learn about how we predict the forecast, the science involved and even a little time at the chroma key wall. The camp will run with new kids each day through Thursday.
