The daughter of Niles High School's athletic director and niece of the U.S. representative for Michigan's 6th Congressional District is a supermodel, and according to TMZ.com she is going to be the 2012 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition cover model!
Kate Upton – who was born in St. Joseph, Michigan – is the daughter of athletic director Jeff Upton. Rep. Fred Upton is her uncle.
She was voted "Rookie of the Year" for the 2011 issue of Sports Illustrated. She has also appeared in Victoria’s Secret, an episode of “Tosh .0” and the movie “Tower Heist.” A video of her doing “the Dougie” at a Los Angeles Clippers game went viral in 2011.
David Letterman will make the official announcement about Upton’s spot on the 2012 Sports Illustrated cover Monday night when she makes a guest appearance on his show.
