There are three finalists in the running to be South Bend's next police chief, but that could change.
The CBS affiliate in Bismark, North Dakota reports the City Commission there will offer Christopher Elg their police chief position.
Elg reportedly has until Thursday at midnight to accept the Bismark job.
He toured South Bend's police department this week.
Elg is currently the Chief of Police in West Monroe, Louisiana.
