Immortal Jellyfish

As the name suggests, the immortal jellyfish may be one of the rare animals able to break the bonds of mortality. After becoming sexually mature, the adult jellyfish is able to revert back to its earlier polyp form through a process known as cell trans-differentiation. Though most will die by any number of other means (such as being eaten by predators), this miraculous ability theoretically means that some of these jellyfish prowling the oceans today could still be there millions of years from now.
