Tree hung up on Buchanan Dam

With recent weather events. I drove down along by the Dam in Buchanan. To my surprise (well not really) the water was running over the top of the dam, and the flood gates were open. Hung up on the dam was a tree, yes I said a tree and it looked like the whole tree. I took a few digital pictures as well as a little video footage. You have to look closely between the brushy area as with the chain link fencing and the parking areas not being cleaned I didn't want to risk the chance of being ice under the snow and ending up in the river so they are taken while on the road. But I had zoomed in on it. Hopefully it is visible. The further I drove down the winding road the river did meet up with the road at that point I turned around as I was not sure if the road way would go lower and have water in the way and then no place to turn around.

The river has come over the road already several times this year. They block the road so you have to take the long way. My boys are amazed by this. It is amazing to see and think of what things were like before the dam.
