Skinheads, besides popular belief, were originally anti-racist and are mostly made up still of anti-racist or non-racist skinheads. Groups in Indiana are located in areas like Culver, Lafayette and Indianapolis. We are called SHARP (SkinHeads Against Racial Prejudice) which originated in New York City in 1987. Skinheads originated in Britain though, but who's working class interests were taken advantage of by nationalists. SHARPs don't shave to the scalp, only as close as a #1 or #2 and ride scooters in Britain or trucks and motorcycles in America. SHARP was created as a resistive measure towards racist skinheads, and will continue to follow suit as such. Real skinheads listen to reggae, northern soul, punk and oi music. We also have a certain style of tattoos we wear, and certain clothing (mostly from England), too.
