On Saturday, August 9th, Bethel Assembly of God Church, 600 E. Bristol St, Elkhart, held their 1st Annual Back To School Block Party. Fourty-five Volunteers served refreshments to over 266 neighbors. School supplies had been collected by the congregation and 177 bags filled with items to get them started back to school were given to the Beardsley Elementary School children. "We just wanted to be a positve influence in our neighbohood," said Pastor Jeff Peters.
