Though many people find living on the river very quiet and tranquil during the summer months, it's in the spring and fall when the heaviest rains are coming down that most worry about the tragedy it can bring to their properties. The Tippecanoe River has ran over it's banks in many areas of Indiana this week after the major thunderstorm that roared through on Tuesday evening that brought many inches of rain in a short period of time. From Tippecanoe all the way down to Rochester, many people have lost their belongings, cars and homes in the flooding. Home owners along the river have said the flooding in the spring and fall is a normal situation they deal with and it goes along with living on the river and it's a chance you just take. But they also want others to know that loosing everything twice in one year makes one wonder if the risk is really worth it.
