Kait Stanley (of Goshen, IN) dressed as a giant spider enjoyed creeping around Nappanee & Oceola, Indiana, trick-or-treating for Halloween!! She also entered a contest in Nappanee and took 1st place for her grade as well as landing a picture in the local newspaper, The Advance News. The costume is all homemade and spanned approx. 7 feet across when fully dressed. Mask started as a ski mask with a witch wig, details were added with silver mandibles and giant red eyes made from a bouncy ball!! The torso had detachable legs made from black pipe insulation, complete with spinners on the rump. The whole body and legs were then covered in black cob-webbing and spray painted lightly with silver spray paint. We were hoping to win Best of Show, but the judges found her TOO CREEPY!!!! (seriously....)

GREAT JOB MOM!! WoW what a costume!! I think it's more fun to make a costume than to buy one from the store. The kids get a kick out of it and it's always an original!!
