Niles fire leaves 2 families homeless

Two families were left homeless tonight when a kitchen fire broke out at 622 N. 13th street in Niles. An upstairs apartment also suffered heavy smoke damage. Niles police responded to an unknown 911 call around 7pm and found smoke coming from the residence. Niles fire department along with EMS responded to the blaze. No one was injured in the fire.
